Cucuta, Colombia, January 27, 2024 – Corporación Scalabrini is committed to preventing and raising awareness about human trafficking and other forms of exploitation in migratory contexts. In collaboration with the German Development Cooperation, they have developed psychosocial and legal activities in their migrant welcoming centers in Cúcuta and Villa del Rosario.
What have they achieved in these participatory meetings?
• Raising awareness about human trafficking,
• Presentation of educational and informative audiovisual material,
• Identification of the different types of crime,
• Guidance to recognize possible victims,
• Information on the routes to report human trafficking, following Colombian institutional protocols.
This effort is part of the German government’s initiative, through the German Development Cooperation, to provide protection tools to both host communities and Venezuelan migrants.

Trabajando Juntos contra la Trata de Personas
Cúcuta, Colombia, 27 de enero de 2024 – La Corporación Scalabrini se encuentra comprometida con la prevención y sensibilización sobre la trata de personas y otras formas de explotación en contextos migratorios. En colaboración con la Cooperación Alemana para el Desarrollo, han desarrollado actividades psicosociales y jurídicas en sus centros de atención al migrante en Cúcuta y Villa del Rosario.
¿Qué han logrado en estos encuentros participativos?
- Sensibilización sobre la trata de personas.
- Presentación de material pedagógico y audiovisual informativo.
- Identificación de las distintas modalidades del delito.
- Orientación para reconocer posibles víctimas.
- Información sobre las rutas para denunciar la trata de personas, siguiendo los protocolos institucionales colombianos.
Este esfuerzo se enmarca en la iniciativa del gobierno alemán, a través de la Cooperación Alemana para el Desarrollo, para proporcionar herramientas de protección tanto a las comunidades de acogida como a los migrantes venezolanos.
